The AWHA QLD Branch in conjunction with International Horse Breeders Pty Ltd is conducting the 2013 AWHA QLD Branch and IHB Gala Day Show. This event is being held at Gatton Showgrounds on Saturday 15th June, 2013, commencing at 9:00 am.

The AWHA QLD Branch would like to offer special thanks to our major sponsor International Horse Breeders Pty Ltd as well as all other sponsors for supporting this year’s event. This year, the AWHA QLD Branch is also running two raffles in the lead up to the Gala Day. The raffles are as follows and will be drawn on the day of the show:

• 1 x dose of frozen semen courtesy of IHB. Only 126 tickets are available to purchase at $5 ea. Tickets are restricted to current AWHA Ltd financial members only. You can purchase as many tickets as you like. Tickets can be purchased with your entry or on the day of the show (if any tickets remaining). This year there has been a few changes to the schedule and rules. Please note the following changes:

• Show Secretary: Claudette Johnson. Relevant contact details are in the schedule.
• Glencairn Stud Perpetual Trophy: all eligible fillies will be automatically entered in to this class. No class fee applies.
• Progeny Class: this year we have split the Progeny Class in to Progeny of Sire and Progeny of Dam. Each class will consist of pairs and entrants can enter multiple pairs in each class. Entries for this class will be accepted up to 10:30 am on the day of the Gala Day Show. Once the program has been released, be sure to check horses entered by the same sire or out of the same dam. You can pair up on the day and participate in these classes.
• No late entries. Due to the large amount of work to prepare for the Gala Day at close of entries, no late entries will be accepted. Please ensure you have your entries and appropriate documentation submitted by the closing date.
• Coloured wrist bands: wrist bands will be supplied to competitors and their registered assistants. Only people wearing wrist bands will be allowed in the marshalling area. No wrist band, no entry to the marshalling area. Strictly no spectators are permitted in the marshalling area.
• Horse numbers: numbers will be supplied for each horse entered. A $10 bond is required per number which will be refunded once returned to the office on the day of the show.

If you have any advertising material for your stud or stallion, please forward this to the AWHA QLD Branch Publicity Officer, Shanna Antrim, via P.O. Box 145, Amberley, Queensland, 4306. Advertising material must be received by 07 Jun 13 to ensure it makes it in to the competitor packs for the Gala Day Show. Please note: advertising material can be supplied by current financial members from any AWHA Ltd Branch.

For entrants wishing to pay via electronic transfer, please contact the Show Secretary for account details. Please ensure you include your name in the transfer and notify the Show Secretary with your remittance of payment.
